ANC Youth League president Julius Malema returned home from Harare on Sunday night, claiming he was not scared to die and would not be terrorised by "Boers".
A league spokesperson confirmed that he flew in ahead of Tuesday's court appearance of two farmworkers accused of murdering Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging leader Eugene Terre'Blanche.
The case will be held in camera because one of the suspects, a 15-year-old, is a minor. He was not released into his parents' custody because of fears for his safety.
Police have pulled out all the stops to ensure there is no trouble.
The teenager, who minded cattle for Terre'Blanche, told his mother that he and an older labourer had bludgeoned him to death because he had not paid them in months. This echoes what her husband told The Mercury at the weekend, that his son had admitted attacking Terre'Blanche.

The confession, detailed in an exclusive interview with AP Television News, undermines claims that the killing was inspired by the Struggle song urging people to kill white farmers.
According to the 15-year-old, some of Terre'Blanche's last words were threatening: "I will kill you and throw you to hell."
Temperatures appeared to have been lowered on Monday after the AWB retracted its earlier threats to avenge Terre'Blanche's death, and politicians and clergy groups echoed earlier calls for calm heads.
Significantly, the AWB's interim leader, Pieter Steyn, ruled out any violent retaliation.
Steyn said earlier statements had been made in the heat of the moment.
"The philosophy of the AWB is that no member will engage in any form of violence, intimidation or racial slandering or anything of that nature. The AWB leadership has called for calm countrywide by all AWB members."
Terre'Blanche will be buried in a family plot on his farm on Friday, and AWB members have apparently been urged to wear suits and leave uniforms and flags at home.
The AWB has also called for restraint at on Monday's court case.
In contrast, an emotional Malema - fresh from talks with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe at State House - defended his singing of "Shoot the Boer", telling reporters in Harare it was sung before he was even born.

He repeated the ANC's view that it was "irresponsible" to link Terre'Blanche's murder with his singing of the song.
"I started singing it when I was nine years and I don't know why Terre'Blanche was not killed at that time.
"Today, he is killed and people can't see a reason why Terre'Blanche was killed and they want to associate that with a song."
People are just mobilising and trying to intimidate us in our own country. We are unshaken and there is nobody including the rightwingers who can intimidate us in that country."
Malema added: "We have more important issues to concentrate on than killing an individual."
On the AWB's earlier threat to avenge Terre'Blanche's death, he said: "If there is anybody who wants to assassinate me, they will find me ready for them.
"I'm not going to be scared of Boers - I've fought them many times before. If they want to fight me they are welcome."An assassination would turn him into a hero, which would make future generations want to pursue his beliefs, Malema said.
He said there would be no special security arrangements once he returned home.
Several AWB members paid their respects at the Terre'Blanche Ventersdorp farm on Monday, while Cope president Mosiuoa Lekota and North West Premier Maureen Modiselle also visited the family.

Terre'Blanche accused leaves court
One of the two people accused of murdering AWB leader Eugene Terre Blanche has been led out of court amidst cheers and ululation.

One of the two people accused of murdering AWB leader Eugene Terre Blanche was led out of court amidst cheers and ululation shortly after lunchtime.
Police led one of the accused, with a jacket fixed firmly over his head blocking his face from view, out of the court and into a waiting Nyala.
The Nyala left the court in convoy with a number of police vehicles, sirens blaring.
The accused was wearing grey pants and a white belt.
As the vehicle drove off, the crowd cheered and ululated and shouted.
"Viva, Viva," they said, jumping and clenching their fists as the van drove off.
"They are our heroes - they did us proud," said Simon Molefe while jumping with joy.
Reporters were waiting to be briefed on the court proceedings, which were to take place in camera, due to the age of one of the accused.
National Director of Public Prosecutions, Menzi Simelane, arrived at the Ventersdorp Magistrate's Court where two farm workers accused of killing AWB leader Eugene Terre Blanche appeared this morning.
The two farm workers, aged 15 and 28, accused of killing AWB leader Eugene Terre'Blanche had not yet been charged by lunchtime, Simelane said.
Speaking to the media outside the Ventersdorp Magistrate's Court, Simelane said the prosecuting authority had met representatives from the community, the AWB and the community policing forum to explain how court proceedings would unfold.
"On April 1st this year, the Child Justice Act was implemented which had different procedures for children.
"We wanted to make sure that everyone understands what had to be done.
"We then had a formal court appearance where the provision of the act was explained to the legal representatives," he said.
Simelane explained that proceedings would be held in camera as one of the accused was a minor.
"Both have to appear together and we can't separate them, that's why it is being held in camera."
The accused had not appeared in court by 12.45pm and remained in holding cells. They would appear shortly.
"They have not been charged yet but when the formal part of the case resumes...it will be decided whether the accused will apply for bail," he said.
The act facilitates diverting children away from the mainstream criminal justice system, providing for offenders under 18 years who commit an offence to be dealt with differently to the regular criminal justice procedures or laws.

The crowd were upset when it was announced that the hearing would be held in camera behind closed doors - as one of the accused is a minor.
An artificial boundary divided the AWB farmers from members of the local black community. The AWB crowd began singing apartheid anthem Die Stem, while the Black crowd sang the new South African National Anthem.
Police had to intervene when insults were allegedly hurled by a woman from the AWB camp, which sparked a tense face-off between the two groups, which the police seem to have got under control.
Four old South African flags and about 20 Vierkleur were held up during the singing.
Tempers also flared when a member of the SACP Youth League, Shoes Nsibamde, wearing a shirt emblazened with the emblem 'do it for Chris Hani' attempted to give a TV interview outside the court room. He was immediately surrounded by men wearing old SA flags as well as the old Vierkleur flag.
When asked about farm murders the men jeered and interrupted the interview saying Nsibande had no answers and could only sing songs about murder.
Pieter Steyn, the AWB spokesperson, said the gathering was just to show solidarity with Terre Blanche's family.
"After the court proceedings we will disperse, we are not going to throw stones, and we're not going to burn down the library."
The situation remains tense at this stage.
Police have cordoned off the sides of the court with barbed wire and formed a line of officers, about 50 strong, in front of the court.
A police helicopter is also circling the area.

Eugene Ney Terre’Blance was born on January 31 1941 and was one of the founders of the Afrikaner Weerstadsbeweging. He dedicated the last decades to realising a dream of freedom for our Boer people and the concept of a Volkstaat, a free state where we could rule over ourselves.

The ANC was boosted with new life and energy in the 1940s, which changed it from the careful organisation it was in the 1930s to the mass movement it was to become in the 1950s.
Increased attacks on the rights of black people and the rise of extreme Afrikaner nationalism created the need for a more militant response from the ANC. Harsher racism also brought greater co-operation between the organisations of Africans, Coloureds and Indians. In 1947, the ANC and the Indian Congresses signed a pact stating full support for one another's campaigns.
In 1944 the ANC Youth League was formed. The young leaders of the Youth League - among them Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu and Oliver Tambo - based their ideas on African nationalism. They believed Africans would be freed only by their own efforts. The Youth League aimed to involve the masses of people in militant struggles.
Many more people moved to the cities in the 1940s to work in new factories and industries. They began to from their own community organisations - such as the Squatter's Movement - and trade unions. The militant ideas of the Youth League quickly found support among the new population of the cities. The Youth League drew up a Programme of Action calling for strikes, boycotts and defiance. It was adopted by the ANC in 1949, the year after the National party came to power. The Programme of Action led to the Defiance Campaign of the 1950s.
Terreblanche wasn't murdered over a pay dispute. This murder was deliberate, 2 weeks after R2Mil reward offered for Malema's head, the same week Malema's in Zim with Mugabe 'to learn how to manage land nationilisation' . This is the beginning of the end, to get Southern Africa on it's knees so that the Communists can get what they have been fighting for for years now. Pretoria, South Africa - The genocide against white Afrikaans speaking people in South Africa is continuing. Over the past few days a number of people were brutally murdered, some even had nothing stolen as black armed gangs target white people in South Africa.
First of all the ANC wants to change the name of Pretoria to Tswane, Pretoria is one of the last renaming Afrikaans cities in the world and that is too much for the ANC to handle. The name Pretoria they say must change to Tswane.
Then there is the case where people from the "young communist league" shouted "kill the boer, kill the farmer" outside Free State Voortrekker Afrikaans High School. This blatant racism continues in South Africa under the guise of "transformation".
The biggest hate speech is coming directly from the ANC, namely Julius Malema the ANC youth league leader that almost daily rants out against the minority white people of South Africa.
According to AllAfrica Julius Malema also recently blabbered the following:
"They do not participate in anything that is of national importance, they do not observe national days, they do not support national initiatives,"
"... they do not care about the development of this country, they are forever obsessed with whether they are going to be attacked or robbed."
So he thinks all white people care about is if they are going to be attacked or robbed, mostly elderly people are tortured to death with hot irons, people are strangled with their own telephone cords and there is a total onslaught against Afrikaans culture and the Afrikaans people of South Africa.
Maybe Julius Malema should starting thinking why white people while being disarmed with new gun laws are afraid of being attacked. That is probably because they are under threat constantly as South Africa slides into the next Zimbabwe.

Cape Town, South Africa - For those that had enthusiasm for the World Cup it seems to be vanishing fast among the threats of Julius Malema and other government officials in this country. “I know of songs that sing of generals… but let’s leave that aside,” he said, declining to name the song, but in a clear hint to the Afrikaans hit, “De la Rey”, about a general in the Anglo-Boer war.
The song Malema sang was not meant to attack boers, said Mthembu.
“If you don’t look at the song in its entirety, then you lose the meaning,” he said, before starting to sing it to Sapa during the telephonic interview.
Mthembu then explained: “It [the song] says, ’some people are cowards’, it says, ‘use your gun to shoot’, because it is reminiscent of fighting a war.”Cowards
It refers to all people who are cowards, including blacks who were cowards, Mthembu said.
“[It is about]… black people who were cowards… it means oppressive forces, it means those who are against transformation, those who are saying this ANC regime is against the ‘blanke volk’ [the white nation].
“There are some white people who say so, who say we were better off with white ‘volk’ in government.”
Mthembu said he knew not all white people said this.
The song was also sung in the past by white freedom fighters.
“Even when we sang the songs, we didn’t want Joe Slovo to be killed. Ronnie Kasrils… in fact, they were leading us in those songs.”
Malema is facing a criminal charge and a complaint with the SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for reportedly singing at the University of Johannesburg, “Dubula amabhunu baya raypha” (Zulu for, ‘Shoot the boers, they are rapists) with a group of students.The song is reminiscent of the late Peter Mokaba, a former ANC Youth League leader known for chanting the slogan, “kill the boer, kill the farmer” during the struggle against apartheid.
Criminal charge
The Freedom Front Plus laid a criminal charge against Malema for allegedly advocating hate. The Afrikanerbond lodged a complaint with the SAHRC.
The Freedom Front Plus won an appeal related to the “kill the farmer, kill the Boer” slogan in 2003 when the SAHRC ruled it constituted hate speech.
Mthembu said people who were unhappy with the singing of the song should approach the ANC so it could be discussed.
“The issue is, indeed, some people might be correct that there might be songs we should not sing. Let them put them on the agenda and convince the ANC that we should not sing those songs and tell us why.
“But then they should also look at songs that were sung by the forces of oppression.”
